Bro. Eddie Villanueva presented  his running mate for Vice-President and former SEC chairman Perfecto Yasay Jr. and the seven senatorial candidates of his Bangon Pilipinas party before members of the Jesus is Lord (JIL) Church-Hong Kong chapter last Feb 20.

'No one among these people has a record of corruption. It is because I will not allow that anyone, who has abused power or stolen from public funds would join me in Bangon Pilipinas,' a party statement quoted Villanueva.

His senatorial slate consists of

• Zafrullah Alonto
• Reynaldo Princesa(lawyer)
• Ramoncito Ocampo(lawyer)
• Kata Inocencio (broadcast journalist)
• Count Habib Adz Nikabulin
• Alex Tinsay (broadcast journalist), and
• Israel Virgines.

The party has coined for the slate the acronym 'APOINT V,' from the first letters of their surnames.
